Here are a handful of photos from our trip to Sri Lanka last month. Arugam Bay was even better than what I dreamed. Gentle warm ocean, long waves, delicious food, fascinating culture... It was everything we look for when we travel.

One of my favorite things about being at home is looking out the windows and seeing wilderness and wildlife. From our living room, we can watch the sunrise over tall Karri forests. From our kitchen window, we can watch the colorful rosellas, ringnecks, and redcapped parrots that come to our garden for tomatoes and bird seed. Here are a couple photos I took yesterday from each window.
